Net Cafe's and the Mobile net.

As an aspiring journalists, I thought I'd do a story about the local internet and gaming cafe's in my country.

I took a look at an old cafe I'd go to while I was still a primary student called Cyberzone. It was empty save for three people in the building; two of which, were staff.

My story talks about how mobile technology and advances in the internet have made the need to go to net cafes die out for consumers.

The article will be finished soon, but in the meantime, I'll eleborate more on the background of this story.

Around 10 years ago, there was a sudden boom in the number of net cafes in Suva. Cyberzone came up, word spread and kids flocked to it almost everyday after school.

Other cafes were soon popping up, places like E-Zone, PC-Station, Net-Zone, one after another. It was the addiction of many school students to go to these places and play their favourite games with and against each other.

Jump foward about 8 years, and Fiji's most widespread internet service provider or ISP releases internet for residential customers that can reach up to 10 megabits per seconds (Mbps). While not at international standard, it is still very fast.

Add to that, the rise of Ipad's, Tablets, Mobile Internet and more affordable, but powerful computers and laptops.

These things may have had a big impact on the Net Cafe market, and some cafes no longer exist today.

My aim? To find out the truth of this matter, and whether or not net cafe's can survive in todays market.

Likes and Dislikes

I love slow music, some rock, acoustic rock, party beats, Fantasy music is a favourite.

I seriously don't like heavy metal cause it's mostly screaming than singing, plus the music drives away all other sounds and kills the melody. I also don't like certain wrap and hip-hop songs that contain weird lyrics.

I believe music is meant to be used to reach people through there hearts...and most important of all, unite them :)

Music Genre

Personally, I love ballad style  music, fantasy music and acoustic, but even so, I'd love any song that is just simply captivating :)

Love playing Guitar and I really wanna learn piano. I hope I'll get the chance to learn it.
